3-0: UD Almería 'B' defeated away from home by Juventud de Torremolinos

With two matches remaining in the regular season, the 'B' team face a very difficult challenge for the promotion play-offs

UD Almería 'B' lost on their away game against Juventud de Torremolinos, who are fighting for automatic promotion to the Primera RFEF. With this second consecutive defeat, the 'B' team's chances of playing in the promotion play-offs are getting even more reduced.

The youthful Rojiblancos have only earned one point in the last four matches, which has not only left them out of the promotion zone, but also now have them within three points, plus goal difference, with two matches remaining in the regular season.

There's no need to over-dramatise this situation, because Lasarte's boys main objective in their the Segunda RFEF debut was none other than to secure survival, and they have achieved it in a comfortable and brilliant fashion.

The fight for promotion, an extra reward that hasn't yet been fully realised because mathematically it's still within reach. In Torremolinos, despite the bad result, the UDA youth team had their chances, and proof of this is that they managed to take the lead against the second-placed team in the group.

Although Juventud capitalised on one of their offensive plays in the 19th minute (1-0), Alberto Lasarte's side again enjoyed opportunities that would have left them level at half-time.

Five minutes after the restart, the Málaga's outfit scored a penalty to double their lead 2-0, which had a negative impact on the second team. Shortly after, the Indálicos saw their opponents extend their lead 3-0, putting the match to bed.
