2-2: Honours even between UD Almería 'B' and Águilas FC in league debut

UD Almería 'B' faced Águilas FC, one of the favourites to be at the top of the table, in the Segunda RFEF league opener that was played on the El Rubial pitch located in the Murcia-based town of Águilas. The draw is very positive for the boys, who were close to winning, but also losing a match with plenty of end-to-end activity and a myriad of chances.
Head coach Alberto Lasarte said in the pre-match presser that his team was not 100% at the start of the pre-season because it was still under construction, but he asked his players to know how to compete.
Águilas FC took the lead, but UD Almería 'B' not only managed to level things up but also get ahead, although the hosts would later tie. All this happened in the eventful first half.
