2-2: UD Almería 'B' draw with Aguilas FC 'B' in Blas Belmonte Memorial Trophy

The Murcia-based team won the penalty shootout (4-5) over the Rojiblancos, who went into the break on a 2-0 lead

UD Almería 'B' tied with Águilas FC 'B', a lower-tier team, in a new pre-season friendly match played in the Almería-based town of Carboneras on the occasion of the fourth edition of the Blas Belmonte Alonso Memorial Trophy, which the Murcians won 4- 5 in the shootout after the match ended with the result of 2-2. 

The team led by Alberto Lasarte had a good first half, in which they were superior to their opponents, as demonstrated by the fact that they went into half-time on a 2-0 lead after the goals scored by Valen, a player who until now had been doing the pre-season with the first team, and Marsu

It was the 22nd minute and UD Almería 'B' already had the encounter on track. However, in the second half, things changed and 15 minutes after the restart, Águilas FC 'B' had already levelled things up, so they resorted to a penalty shootout to decide the champion of this trophy. 

The UDA Academy Rojiblancos Lost momentum. They were two very different halves with two different outfits in terms of players and performance. Alberto Lasarte handed out starting spots to Juanmi, Abarca, Ballestero, Alex Mendes, Torres, Ahmed, Joan, Marsu, Valen, Hugo Neves and Manu Morillo. In the second, Peñalver, Paco Sanz, Loren, Luis Lara, Nacho Vila, Marko Perović, José Ismael, René Pérez, Josema and Edu Pla jumped onto the pitch.
