2-1: Victory for UD Almería Women as they extend unbeaten run to six
The Rojiblancas beat Ciudad de Murcia Women. UDA player Blanca suffered an injury and had to be taken to a hospital to undergo medical tests
UD Almería Women achieved a vital victory against Ciudad de Murcia Women at the Emilio Campra Youth Stadium (Matchday 9). The Rojiblancas extend their unbeaten run to six matches adding 14 of the 18 points at stake. Now they sit 7th in the standings and continue to aspire to fight for the promotion play-off spits, although the goal is quite difficult.
There is high competition ahead and the team are in good shape. Against Ciudad de Murcia Women, the encounter was soon on track, after 15 minutes through Aitana and shortly after Conchita doubled their lead 2-0, so it seemed that everything was under control. However, not materialising other scoring opportunities and shortening the rivals' distance complicated the game to such an extent that there were fierce duels and even a seriously injured UD Almería Women player, Blanca, who had to be taken to a medical centre to undergo medical tests for a possible fracture in the lower part of her right leg. An accurate diagnosis will be given in the next few hours.
