2-1: Nothing quite like a huge W on last Fair Day in Almería

Rubi's men come back from behind twice thanks to Ramazani and Sadiq to grab all 3 points after a game in which they started on the wrong foot.

The Power Horse Stadium saw two armies fighting a pitch battle. UD Almería clinched a great comeback victory over visitors Sevilla FC. The Rojiblancos started the match on the wrong foot because of a header from opponent Oliver Torres, but the hosts came back from behind twice. Ramazani equalised while Sadiq, specialist hitting the target, scored the second to seal a 2-1 victory over the Champions League team.

UD Almería piled the pressure on the rivals and made it really tough for the Sevillian side to play the ball out of the defence. During the opening minutes the possession and chances belonged to the Rojiblancos who, strongly supported by their fans in the stands, were putting in a commanding display on home soil.

After those minutes of home-team intensity, Sevilla FC regained more and more possession of the ball and fashioned big chances. Opponent Oliver Torres put keeper Fernando to the test with a shot that was denied with a great save. Shortly after, around the 30th minute, Oliver Torres, this time, managed to beat Fernando between the sticks thanks to a thumping header inside the box, and thus opening the scoring 0-1 at the Power Horse Stadium.

UD Almería were capable of reacting ten minutes later and Ramazani was in charge of equalising guiding the ball past goalie Bono with a clinical finishing. The second half kicked off with sub De la Hoz replacing Eguaras and a clear-cut chance for UD Almería, a free-kick from the outside the box taken by Samu Costa that Bono parried away. After this early goal-scoring opportunity, the Indalicos continued to engineer chances playing with high pressure and doing great in all positions. As a result of this excellent organisation on the pitch, Sadiq's second goal came as he picked up a superb assist at the hands of team-mate Robertone. The Nigerian's goal sealed a great comeback on the south coast of Spain (2-1).

Sevilla FC seemed desperate to level it up away from home by approaching dangerously the goal, yet UD Almería continued to put in a brave fight with a positive attitude to make sure that the Sevillian outfit left the Stadium empty handed. It was a thrilling finale as the 2022 Almería Fair comes to an end.
