2-0: UD Almería Women beat Madrid CFF Women 'C' to make their presence felt
The Rojiblancas put in a commanding display and managed to move even further away from the relegation positions after defeating the Madrid-based girls side, who are clear candidates for promotion
UD Almería Women have made their presence felt in the league after beating Madrid CFF Women 'C', an outfit that are candidates for promotion and that went into this match with good vibes after their last triumph. Nevertheless, the Rojiblancas mustered their courage by showing brilliant footballing skills, being very solid defending and managed to defeat the guests. Jessi's opener, in the 17th minute and Tejedor's second in the 90'+2 minute sealed three massive points at home and a morale boost for the Indálicas. The UD Almería girls were very confident throughout the entire match, keeping a clean sheet and offensively cancelling out a team with a lot of attacking potential.
The hosts played really good first few minutes and as a result of that commanding performance, Jessi opened the scoring in the 17th minute. From there, UD Almería Women managed to keep at bay a Madrid CFF Women 'C' side that, after conceding that goal, went all out in search of an equaliser, engineering several clear chances, however, the superiority midfield by the the Indálicas and in defence prevented the visitors from levelling it up.
Andrea Tejedor, in the 90'+2 minute doubled her teams lead 2-0 to keep the three points at home after a spectacular clash in which the Almeria girls team moved further away from the drop zone and made their presence felt showing that they can beat anyone.
