2-0: UD Almería 'B' achieve second victory on the spin
Óscar Fernández's youth side beat visitors Atlético de Porcuna with goals courtesy of Marciano and Rafa Núñez. They kept another clean sheet.
UD Almería 'B' won their second match of the competition. The 'B' team players were superior to Atlético de Porcuna and beat the visiting team 2-0. Goals in the 42nd minute and within 62 minute courtesy of Marciano and Nuñez sealed the victory. The Jaen-based team tried to find the back of the net but they could not beat keeper Obón, so they Rojiblancos kept a second consecutive clean sheet.
Óscar Fernández's team began the game with very clear ideas, making their presence known in the opponents' defensive third and creating countless chances. The first opportunity by Lokosa was in danger in the 8th minute, the player headed in a great cross from Pedro, however he couldn't hit the target. With 16 minutes gone, Lokosa was going to have another great opportunity to open the scoring with a shot from outside the box that would leave near the crossbar. In the 42nd minute, UD Almería 'B' found the opener; Marciano finished off after getting his head to it after a corner kick taken by Avelino. The youthful Rojiblancos headed into half-time on the front foot.
The second half kicked off with the visiting team full on the attack with the firm intention to equalise as soon as possible; inside 46 minutes, Álvaro García hit the crossbar, and thus being responsible for the biggest chance for Atlético de Porcuna throughout the match. Óscar Fernández's boys reacted quickly and in the 62th minute, Núñez doubled their lead (2-0) through a well-taken shot from the edge of the area that would hit the left stick of the visiting goalkeeper who, although he dived to the right side, could not save it.
The hosts were close to making it 3-0 with a strike from Pedro. Porcuna tried their hardest to pull one back, but they didn't get the chance. Finally, UD Almería 'B' wrapped up their second consecutive victory keeping a clean sheet.
