2–0: UD Almería 'B' bring season to a close with relegation

The UD Almería Academy prospects fall in their final match as Águilas CF continue their promotion push

UD Almería 'B' ended a difficult season with a defeat away to Águilas CF, who are fighting for promotion. With this result, the Andalusian side confirm their relegation from Segunda RFEF after a campaign in which they recorded only 4 wins and 9 draws, alongside 21 defeats. They finish second-bottom, level on points with bottom-placed Atlético Malagueño and both teams will compete in fifth-tierTercera RFEF next season, alongside Melilla, Xerez Deportivo FC and Puente Genil.

The final Matchday saw José María Salmerón’s side travel to El Rubial Stadium, where Águilas CF were chasing either automatic promotion or a play-off spot. The hosts secured a 2–0 victory, ensuring their place in the promotion play-offs with Minera, Xerez CF and Real Jaén, while Extremadura earned automatic promotion to third-tier Primera RFEF.

Despite the result, UD Almería 'B' competed well for much of the match, limiting the hosts’ rhythm through their organisation and intensity. The Águilas boys only broke the deadlock in the 27th minute and had to wait until stoppage-time to secure the final 2–0.
