2-0: A trustworthy UD Almeria wins again

The rojiblancos started the encounter in a brilliant first half. The team played numerically inferior from minute 74.

The UD Almeria won again looking trustworthy, especially in the first half, which was outstanding. In
fact, the squad was bullish ahead for the first forty-five minutes, and although the scoreboard would
no longer change, in the second half, the team increased the lead. After Petrovic was sent off, the
rojiblancos played with numerical inferiority from minute 74. In addition, Vada remained injured on
the field so as not to leave his team with nine players.

José María Gutiérrez, ‘Guti’, who achieved his first triumph as manager of UD Almeria, decided to
innovate by using a different players formation in the starting line-up. With the firm intention that
his players adapt to his way of understanding football, the coach set up Fernando in the goal, César
de la Hoz as centreback, Vada and Petrovic were placed in the centre circle, and Juan Muñoz and
Darwin Núñez played as forwards.
