14-1: Rampant victory for UD Almería 'B' against CD Atlético Melilla
The UDA Academy Rojiblancos were much superior throughout the full 90 minutes and clinched their second consecutive victory that places them in third position.
UD Almería 'B' have recovered third position in Group IX of the Tercera RFEF tier after the resounding victory over bottom team CD Atlético Melilla. The home side went into half-time with an 8-0 lead, and in the second half, they extended that lead to 14-1 in the final.
The UDA Academy youth side started the game flying out of the traps with Abel's early opening goal two minutes into the game. After this, they stepped up a gear and dedicated themselves to maintaining possession of the ball, but this margin without offensive play would end in the 17th minute when Keven doubled their lead 2-0. From that moment on, several more goals came before heading down the tunnel with a commanding lead 8-0.
In the second half, CD Atlético Melilla went all out in search of the long-awaited goal, taking advantage of a UD Almería 'B' that started with a slower pace, the result of the good work of the first forty-five minutes.
The visitors from Spain's North African enclave took advantage of this and managed to score a consolation goal (1-8) inside 55 minutes. However, this goal served to make UD Almería 'B' react and began to show their attacking capacity again with up to 7 more goals, no less, to make it 14-1.
