1–5: UD Almería Women crowned league champions with 3 games to go

Thumping away win over CD Úbeda Viva seals top-spot as they await promotion play-off rivals

UD Almería Women have officially been Tercera RFEF Group IX crowned champions with 3 matches still to play, following an emphatic 1–5 away victory over CD Úbeda Viva. The result confirms their place at the top of the table and puts them in a strong position ahead of the promotion play-offs to Segunda RFEF.

The Rojiblancas have been dominant throughout the campaign, boasting an impressive record of 17 wins, 1 draw, and just 1 defeat. They have also racked up 84 goals while conceding only 11, underlining their superiority from the very start of the season.

While securing the league title was a key objective, the main goal remains promotion. To strengthen their chances, the Indálicas needed not only to top Group IX but also outperform the leaders of the other Andalusian group. In Group X, Cádiz CF Women and Sevilla FC 'B' Women are currently tied on 40 points with 4 games remaining. UD Almería Women however, sit comfortably on 52 points, putting them in a commanding position to fight for automatic promotion.

In Úbeda, despite facing the bottom side, the girls were made to work hard, heading into half-time with a narrow 0–1 lead. They stepped up after the break, asserting their dominance and sealing the win with a strong second-half performance. Goals came from Cañadas (2), Inés, Aitana and Liubov.
