1-4: UD Almería B suffer first defeat of season to current Group IX pacesetters
The Academy graduates were outplayed by CD Juventud Torremolinos throughout the full 90 minutes, even though they came back from a losing position to draw level in the second half. Mr Lasarte was in the stands after coaching the senior team against Granada CF
UD Almería 'B' did not find their way to harm current Group IX leaders in the Tercera RFEF tier in a match in which they were outplayed at all times by CD Juventud Torremolinos who put themselves in front. In the second period, UD Almería 'B' managed to peg them back thanks to a header courtesy of striker Rachad, yet the guests quickly slammed in the second and two more arrived before full-time with a final result of 1-4.
Alberto Lasarte, who was in the stands watching the game after coaching the UD Almería senior team against Granada CF. His youth side went all out in the early stages of the game, but Torremolinos quickly took control of the match and in the 35th minute, the first goal by Iker arrived. The UD Almería Academy graduates looked for a quick reaction and Aaron was about to equalise, but it could not be until the second half.

As soon as the second half kicked off, Rachad finished off a header from a corner and level it up (1-1). The youthful Almerienses managed to tie and began to trouble the visitor goalie. However, following Rachad's leveller, the 1-2 score was recorded at the hands of Javi Mérida. The Rojiblancos parked the bus, without ideas and Torremolinos took advantage of this situation to extend their lead 1-3 and later, Iker Burgos booted the fourth sealing a comprehensive 1-4 victory over the hosts, who suffered their first defeat of the 2023/24 season.
