1-3: Second consecutive victory of a brave Almeria

1-3: Second consecutive victory of a brave Almeria

The UD Almería rallied for 1-3 second consecutive victory over CD Tenerife in the League. It was an unfair result because the UD Almeria team had clear chances to have a significant bigger advantage. The rojiblancos (at the Heliodoro Rodríguez López) were brave at the start, went out onto the pitch boldly for the win and achieved their goal by deploying an intelligent game throughout the match that allowed them to have the best opportunities within an electrifying match. In the first half, Lazo played a leading role in confronting the opponents with two brilliant goals. The side continue to grow and sometimes showed quality in the game.

José María Gutiérrez, ‘Guti’, decided to place Sergio Aguza and César de la Hoz as midfielders in the absence of the injured player Valentin Vada and Petrovic, who was suspended for the match. He also placed Maras as centreback. Basically, these were the main changes regarding the previous day.

The UD Almeria, dominated the game playing good football. Lazo scored two goals in the first half. Our team made it 0-3 before the break, but it was the CD Tenerife which shortened distances.

In the second half, the rojiblancos had clear opportunities to score again, but they did not succeed and that meant that the CD Tenerife players tried to settle for a draw. In any case, UD Almeria knew how to be practical and intelligent and in the injury time Aguza scored the third goal. It’s the final score that counts: 1-3.
