1-3: UD Almería Women win in Plasencia but will not enter play-offs

The Rojiblancas are no longer mathematically eligible with two games to go until the league final, but they are set to close out a brilliant season.

UD Almería Women achieved another victory on Matchday 28 by beating San Miguel of Plasencia 1-3 away from home. However, despite this, the team are already ruled out of the promotion play-offs because both Sevilla 'B' Women and Betis 'B' Women also earned points and are 7 points behind the team with just two more games remaining in the regular season.

The Rojiblancas are having a brilliant season and will finish it on a high note. In Plasencia, UD Almería Women outplayed San Miguel, although the 1-3 result does not fully reflect what was seen on the pitch.

Gisela put the Indálicas ahead, and although the Extremadura girls equalised shortly after, the Rojiblancas made it 2-1 before half-time. 15 minutes after the restart, the score was 3-1, putting the match on track, especially given UD Almería Women's control.

With two matches remaining in the season, the UDA girls will try to overtake Alhama 'B' Women in the standings to reach 5th place. The higher up the standings, the better, given what may happen once the season concludes in terms of team withdrawals or group restructuring.
