Despite a valiant performance, the young Rojiblancos were left frustrated, with a controversial first-half goal and a red card to Miguel Operé proving pivotal in the result.
The match, played at the Anexo pitch, began in a difficult fashion for the home side as they conceded an early penalty in the first minute. Despite this, UD Almería 'B' showed resilience and controlled large parts of the game against last season's promotion play-off contenders.
