1-2: Almeria B good run comes to an end after fifteen matchdays
The rojiblancos, who are still holding onto play-off positions, missed a great opportunity to extend their good run
Almeria B lost to Motril in a match played in the Anexo training ground corresponding to matchday 24 of the League within the IX group of the Third Division. This is the first time that the rojiblancos lose since Nandinho is in the driving seat. Their 15 undefeated games run comes to an end, although the Almeria second team are still holding onto play-off positions sitting 4th in the table.
Nevertheless, Almería B missed a great opportunity to extend their lead playing against their direct rivals. The side did not take advantage of the CD El Ejido’s defeat, and the draw of Real Jaén. If they would have won, the side would have sat second in the standings.
Almeria B were reigning superior and they dominated the game. They took the lead but could not make it after creating so many chances. The rojiblancos went ahead on the scoreboard and they seemed to have the game under control, but in the last minutes of the first-half Moi was responsible for the draw before the break.
Almeria were basically dominating in the second-half but without success. Even though they gave much more sense of danger, in the 81st minute Dani Cara sealed the victory with his goal.
