1-1:Almeria ‘B’ bag well-deserved point against El Palo

The Academy products make a great effort to get one point against in-form rivals

The UD Almería ‘B’ team bagged a well-deserved point against in-form El Palo. The hosts made the young Rojiblancos lose their Tercera Division RFEF lead within Group IX, however it is obvious that the Rojiblancos put in a brave fight as they are working hard to improve their performances as the competition progresses. Following an initial Indálicos superiority in which Rojas made it 0-1, El Palo equalised just before the break and opened the door to an end-to-end game.

The Almería ‘B’ contenders looked to get ahead early and that driving ambition had its reward, since in the 12th minute, David Cuenca provided a fantastic assist and Rojas was in charge of scoring the first goal of the clash through a well-worked play. Needless to say, despite the 0-1, the Academy side continued to play their hearts out thoroughly. With half an hour gone, Lokosa nearly fired home the second goal, but a defender avoided it at the goaline.

The UD Almeria ‘B’ lads were having a great time on the pitch. However, the home team equalised just before the break. Fuoli made a great save to block a cross from a wide position, yet the Paleño forward did not hesitate to draw level after the deflection. It was all square at half-time (1-1).

There was plenty of end-to-end activity during the second period. With regard to UD Almería ‘B’, Óscar Fernández's boys did a superb job until they ended up bagging a point that is worth it to continue growing within Tercera Division RFEF (Group IX).
