1-1: UD Almería B’s Anexo curse goes on

The second-bottom team are once again unable to beat bottom-side Atlético Malagueño and extend their winless run to 10. Debut for Almería-born youngster Ramón Martos

UD Almería 'B', currently second from bottom, were once again unable to secure a victory, this time drawing 1-1 against bottom side Atlético Malagueño in a 'B' teams derby on Matchday 22. Both goals were scored by the Rojiblancos, although one ended up in their own net. Another blow for the UDA Academy prospects, who continue to have no luck on their side. When it has not been a stoppage-time setback, it has been a penalty or a red card. Adverse situations that keep preventing positive results in the form of wins.

This draw does nothing for UD Almería 'B', who have now gone 10 league matches in a row without a triumph. What is more, they are still yet to win at the Anexo pitch this season. Their only 'home' win came against Yeclano (1-0), but that match was played at the Francisco Pomedio Stadium in Huércal de Almería while the Anexo pitch was being re-seeded.

Against Málaga CF 'B' team, UD Almería 'B' took the lead through Hou on 19 minutes. The youthful Indálicos looked solid at that stage. Although the visitors enjoyed more possession, Salmerón’s side kept them at bay and looked to hurt them with pace, as shown in the move that led to the opener. The hosts went into the break ahead.

After the restart, the leveller arrived in the 67th minute, an own goal that set the final score at 1-1 despite efforts from both Andalusian teams to find a winner.

In the last minutes, Ramón Martos made his debut for the UDA 'B' team. The Almería-born footballer is still part of the UD Almería under-19s 'A' squad.
