1-1: UD Almería 'B' wrap up season with away draw against Orihuela CF

The UD Almería 'B' players, who like their opponents, had nothing to play for, took the lead but ultimately had to settle for a point and finish 6th in the standings

UD Almería 'B' wrapped up the 2024/25 season with an away draw with Orihuela CF, who are 6th in the standings, on the verge of the promotion play-offs, and with their goal of survival secured for several matches. The match in Alicante was the final Matchday with their homework done, although in the case of the Rojiblancos, the bittersweet taste of having come close, very close, to fighting for promotion.

During the first 4 minutes, Orihuela CF pressed harder and took the initiative, looking to bid farewell to their fans with a positive result. The UD Almería second team defended well and had a few chances, but the score remained 0-0 until half-time.

The UD Almería Academy prospects surprised the team a few minutes after the restart with a goal from Lorenzo to make it 1-0. This goal prompted the opponents to make substitutions and risk an equaliser. UD Almería 'B' tried to exploit these openings, but were unsuccessful. In contrast, the home side levelled the score at 1-1 in the closing stages of the match.
