1-1: UD Almería Women share the spoils with Arenas de Armilla CF Women in season opener

UD Almería Women had to settle for a draw with Arenas de Armilla CF Women in the season curtain-raiser at the Emilio Campra Youth Stadium. These two sides may initially be the strongest contenders to fight for promotion, but the clash came too early to allow for any comparisons. In fact, the Rojiblancas outplayed them and had numerous scoring opportunities that could have given them all 3 points, but in the end, they had to settle for a draw.
However, their opponents took advantage of the clearest chance they created to snatch a point. The Granada-based team took the lead in the first half and then, in the second, the Indálicas equalised (1-1).
On Matchday 2, next Sunday, UD Almería Women visit CF Woman Mvrgi from El Ejido city who, like UD Pavía Women, are making their debut in the division. It will be the first derby of the 2025/26 season.
The girls' team from El Ejido kicked off the season with a 3-1 away win over Real Jaén CF Women.
UD Almería Women starting XI: Alba, Marina, Blanca, Lucía, Mireya, Miriam, Cañadas, Jessi, Anna, Marisa and Liubov. Cayetana, Aitana, Inés, and Gisela also played. Ángela Cañadas scored the equaliser.
