1-1: Almeria and Numancia shared the spoils and the league table remains the same

The rojiblancos are only three points behind the leaders. Zaragoza and Huesca still in the hunt for automatic promotion places

Almeria could not make the most of the tie between Cádiz and Zaragoza in order to clearly marked their territory in the automatic promotion places to First Division. Never mind, the table remains the same this week. The leaders are three points clear at the top of the table, while Zaragoza and Huesca are still in the hunt for automatic promotion spots 3 points behind Almeria.

A lacklustre game looked destined for a goalless draw until two goals in the space of seventeen minutes made for a more frantic conclusion. UD Almeria and CD Numancia de Soria shared the spoils in a big game against tough opponents. This is valuable point for Almeria, who went ahead on the scoreboard thanks to Juan Muñoz netting on 63 minutes, although Numancia came from behind to draw in the 80th minute. The rojiblancos never settled for a one-all draw and restlessly looked for the three points until the final whistle.

José María Gutiérrez opted for a similar starting XI to the previous fixture including two unavoidable changes because Vada and Darwin Núñez were not eligible due to their one-match suspensions. They were replaced by Petrovic, fully recovered from his injury, and Fran Villalba, one of the last signings made in the last January transfer window. On a night of limited goalmouth activity, the starting line-up looked slightly different as Juan Muñoz swapped his number 11 for a false 9 position and Villalba debuted wearing his number 10 red and white shirt.
