A lacklustre game looked destined for a goalless draw until two goals in the space of seventeen minutes made for a more frantic conclusion. UD Almeria and CD Numancia de Soria shared the spoils in a big game against tough opponents. This is valuable point for Almeria, who went ahead on the scoreboard thanks to Juan Muñoz netting on 63 minutes, although Numancia came from behind to draw in the 80th minute. The rojiblancos never settled for a one-all draw and restlessly looked for the three points until the final whistle.
José María Gutiérrez opted for a similar starting XI to the previous fixture including two unavoidable changes because Vada and Darwin Núñez were not eligible due to their one-match suspensions.
