1-0: UD Almería 'B' beat UD Torre del Mar and will face Atlético Malagueño in play-offs
The UDA Academy Rojiblancos have obtained victory in their last match of the regular season thanks to Rachad's overhead match-winning goal in the 72nd minute and already have their minds set on promotion to Segunda RFEF
UD Almería 'B' beat UD Torre del Mar 1-0 after playing a brilliant match both in defence and attack. There were two evenly-matched until the second half with a match-winning goal goal courtesy of Rachad through a overhead kick. With this victory, the youthful Indálicos close out the season in fourth place and will face Atlético Malagueño in the first round of the play-offs.
The Rojiblancos and UD Torre del Mar exchanged chances in the first half that was marked by Peñalver's injury. The player had to be treated by medical services for a blow to his head and was taken to the hospital for tests to rule out anything more serious. The match was paused for several minutes and after the restart it was the home team that increased the pace, stepped up a gear and several chances came: Rachad had a great opportunity with a header that went just wide, a couple of minutes later, Joan tried it with a shot from the edge of the box that made the goalkeeper parry the ball to the corner. On that corner-kick, Mendes had a very clear header, but his shot was saved by the goalkeeper, who began to be the best player in his team.
In the second half, the Rojiblancos continued with their same game plan and were theirs with the great dangerous situations, yet it would not be until the 72nd minute when they could open the scoring. Rachad made it 1-0 with an explosive overhead kick goal after a great pass from Hugo Neves and was able to make it 2-0 in the next play. Valen sent a ball to the post after a shot from the edge of the area.
At the end of the match the visitors went all out for the tie, but Obón, the goalkeeper, managed to clear the effort with great saves. The youthful Rojiblancos finally finish the regular season in fourth place and will face Atlético Malagueño on 18-19 May.
