1-0: El Palo FC shatter UD Almería 'B' dream of promotion
The UD Almería 'B' prospects are heartbroken as they will not feature in the play-offs for promotion to Segunda RFEF despite hard effort throughout the campaign
UD Almería 'B' failed to secure a stab at the play-offs for promotion to Segunda RFEF after losing in their visit to El Palo FC. First, Svidersky's injury and the penalty that Obón committed against the host striker and that later Acosta converted shattered their dream of promotion. The young players from UD Almería tried until the very end but without fortune.
The first half began in the worst possible way for the youthful Rojiblancos since in the 13th minute, Šviderský had to leave the field due to a knee injury, which upset his team-mates. Five minutes later, they conceded the penalty goal. The Rojiblancos managed to recover from that setback and began to create danger managing to tie thanks to Gilbert, although the goal would be chalked off for offside. Shortly after this action, Andrei would also have a good chance.
In the second period, the game entered a phase without a clear dominator, although UD Almeria 'B' were the ones who attacked the most, but their chances failed to generate danger. In addition, the results obtained on the other pitches were not favourable either. They didn't give up and kept trying, but without being able to reach their promotion goal.
