1-0: UD Almería 'B' hold firm until late but falls to Recreativo de Huelva

Salmerón's side suffers another narrow defeat in the final stages

UD Almería 'B' endured another frustrating defeat in the league, extending their winless streak to 9 matches. Despite a solid defensive display and a few counter-attacking opportunities, the young Almeriense side could not prevent Aitor García’s late goal in the 83rd minute, giving Recreativo de Huelva all 3 points at the Nuevo Colombino Stadium.

The match saw the home side dominate possession and control the game, as expected from a team pushing for promotion. However, UD Almería 'B' were well-organized defensively and limited their opponent’s chances. They also had a few promising attacks but were unable to capitalise. As has often been the case in recent weeks, the UD Almería prospects inability to hold out until the final whistle saw them leave Huelva empty-handed.

The result leaves UD Almería 'B' 15 points adrift of the relegation zone, currently occupied by CF Linares Deportivo with 14 points separating them from Puente Genil, who are in the promotion play-off spot for safety. With 13 matches still to play, the task ahead remains difficult but not impossible.
