0-3: Convincing triumph and first W of season for UD Almeria 'B'
Second-half goals courtesy of Lokosa, Marciano and Wellington sealed first victory of the 2022/23 campaign after beating UD Macarena
It has been a great start to the season for the UDA Academy prospects! UD Almería 'B' comfortably beat Maracena thanks to three second-half goals. Lokosa grabbed the opener in the 50th minute, followed by Marciano's second within 74 minutes and Wellington slotted home the third in the 80th minute. The youthful Rojiblancos thus achieved their first victory of the season (0-3).
The match kicked off with several clear chances engineered by Óscar Fernández's boys and their superiority in the opening stages of the match was noticeable. Thirty minutes later, the home side were down to 10 boys following the sending-off of opponent Gueye who knocked down the Almería attacker when he was alone in front of the goalkeeper. That foul committed by the host triggered a shot from Gilbert that hit the woodwork. Although the Rojiblanco team were still putting all their energy in the search of the first goal, they could not score a goal in the opening 45 minutes so nothing separated the sides at the break.
In the second half, Óscar Fernández's side pilled forward on the attack and in the 50th minute Lokosa's goal came after a wonderful cross whipped in by peer Pedro. Things would become much more difficult for UD Maracena over the sending-off of another player, this time it was Joselu who left his team with 9 lads in action.
UD Almería bossed the ball and in the last minutes they completed the score with two more great goals courtesy of Marciano and Wellington, thus getting their first W in the opening match of the competition.
