UD Almería Women are still without a point since returning to women's tier Segunda RFEF after suffering their 3rd consecutive defeat of the season, and their second at home, as they were beaten 0-2 by Olympia Las Rozas Women from Madrid.

A red card shortly before half-time proved decisive in a match in which the Rojiblancas created enough chances to avoid defeat. UD Almería Women are still finding their feet in the new division. On the opening day, they came from 0-2 down before eventually losing in the closing stages. There was to be no comeback this time and next Saturday the UDA girls will travel to take on Cáceres Atlético Women who are also still searching for their first points of the campaign.

The match against Olympia Las Rozas Women was an open contest, with the Rojiblancas fully committed throughout. They created opportunities to take the lead but were unable to convert them. The visitors also had chances, although UD Almería Women’s defensive work and some fine saves from goalkeeper Andrea kept them at bay.

In the final play of the first half, Blanca Romero was shown a straight red card for bringing down an opponent as she raced through on goal. Sara took the resulting free-kick and Andrea produced an excellent save, but Belén reacted quickest to the rebound to put Olympia 1-0 ahead.

UD Almería Women began the second half a goal down and reduced to 10 players, but the home side showed plenty of determination and fight as they looked to get back into the game. They created opportunities, although Olympia also took advantage of the risks UD Almería Women had to take. The Madrid-based side eventually sealed the victory in the 83rd minute when Lucía Núñez made it 0-2.
