Unluckily, UD Almería Women five-game unbeaten run has come to an end. The 0-2 result demonstrated Real Betis Women ‘B’ effectiveness. The Rojiblancas put on a great performance on the Constantino Cortés pitch, yet they could not come from behind to get the W as the visitors scored goals at key moments of the game.
The Rojiblancas were slow out of the traps since Laura put the Betico team in front with a shot from inside the box. From there, the Indálicas were trailing 0-1 and tried hard to gain momentum. Paqui nearly found the equaliser before half-time, but Vicky got in the way from the edge of the 6-yard-box.
After the restart, Real Betis Women ‘B’ once again showed their effectiveness by doubling their lead through Rocío within 59 minutes (0-2). Not happy with that, Agustín Sánchez decided to speed up the Almeria game with the introduction of Nadia López and Cristina onto the field of play.
UD Almería Women were doing a great job from the kick-off. They created big chances in the last minutes of the second period as it had already happened nearing half-time. A defender prevented Nadia’s strike from finding the back of the net. Just before, something similar happened with Fatima being the one who was shooting.
Eva came on for Esther, so that the players in red and white made their presence known high upfront. Despite they were doing their very best to score until the final whistle was blown by the match official, the scoreboard would not change (0-2). The adversaries’ victory confirmed that it was a bad at the office for Almería Women.
