0-1: UD Almería U19 ‘A’ grind out crucial away win
UD Almería Academy youth sides deliver mixed results as Copa del Rey U19 race heats up and Desert Cup takes centre stage
UD Almería’s U19 ‘A’ secured a hard-fought and highly important 1-0 victory on the road against Málaga-based side San Félix, a result that keeps the young Rojiblancos firmly in contention for a coveted place in the Copa del Rey U19. The win extends their positive run and strengthens their position in an increasingly competitive qualification battle.
There was disappointment, however, for the UDA U19 ‘B’ team. After an impressive streak of 11 straight wins, the group leaders fell 3-1 to CD Tiro de Pichón. Despite the setback, they remain top of the table, though their margin has been cut to a single point ahead of Marbella.
Nearly half of the Club’s Academy youth sides were in league action over the weekend, while the younger age groups took part in the Desert Cup held in Roquetas de Mar, organised by UD Almería.
