0-1: UD Almería 'B' lose out to leaders in top-of-the-table clash

An early opener saw the UDA prospects drop 3 points even though they fought to the death until the final whistle to obtain a positive result. The youthful Rojiblancos remain second in the table

UD Almería 'B' were narrowly defeated by current leaders UCAM Murcia CF on the Francisco Pomedio pitch in Huércal de Almería. The Segunda RFEF Group IV top-two teams, who faced the match level on points and with similar runs of results despite the youth and debut in the tier of the young Almeriensistas and the experience and potential of the Murcianos, who not long ago were active in professional football. An early opener in the 4th minute sealed a competitive top-of-the-table clash in which Lasarte's side plucked up the courage at all times and fought to the death until the final whistle to try to achieve a positive result.
UD Almería 'B' remain second in the standings while UCAM reinforce their top spot as sole leaders.

Things couldn't have gotten worse for UD Almería 'B' who in the 4th minute saw their opponents take the lead when Alexis made the most of a poor built-up play by the Indálicos, who were not comfortable with the forward pressure put on by the Murcianos. The two sides seemed evenly-matched, although the greatest possession and the clearest chances were for UCAM. In fact, UDA goalkeeper Jesús López prevented the visitors from going into the break with a greater advantage thanks to two brilliant saves.

Head coach Alberto Lasarte brought in attackers Yago Paredes and Morillo in the second half in search of coming back from behind. In this period the hosts were the dominant side, although they had to be very careful with some of the university students' objections. The 'B' team played at high intensity with vertical football and did not stop looking to find the back of the net. Although they were present in the final third quite often, they did not do so with the feeling of scoring. Everything remained in an incessant attempt with many 'Oops!' Lorenzo created the clearest chance when he headed a cross from peer René Pérez. The ball fell into the hands of the UCAM keeper, the team that conceded the fewest goals in the league.
