0-0: UD Almería 'B' grab a point on first trip of season against Atlético Malagueño

UD Almería 'B' were unable to score a goal in their first match of Tercera RFEF (Group IX) against Atlético Malagueño, in a clash of 'B' teams, rivals and clear contenders for promotion. The good saves by the goalkeeper rival avoided the goals of the youthful Indálicos that put in a resolute defensive and attacking performance. 

 

A very evenly-matched game was expected since, both 'B' teams were fighting tot he death in the last season until the last Matchday to move up a tier and they are two teams that occupy the top half of the table.

 

The league meeting did not disappoint since both outfits exchanged chances throughout the game. The players from Almería were on it from the get go and had great opportunities, but the rival keeper repelled all efforts. The Málaga 'B' side also had their own chances, however, the good defensive work of Alberto Lasarte's boys avoided conceding a goal. 

 

UD Almería 'B', renewed compared to the previous campaign, lined up in the Starting XI four players who have made the leap from UD Almería Under-19s 'A', although in the course of the encounter, others also jumped on the pitch, something absolutely significant.

Referee: Viñolo Payán, from the Andalusian Referees Association. He booked hosts Santaella and Izan Merino; visitors Aarón Romero and René Pérez were also yellow carded.
