The visitors from Granada, who had already shared the points with the 'B' sides of Málaga CF and Granada CF, kept the youthful Rojiblancos at bay. They have now dropped 4 points in their last 2 consecutive home games on home turf
UD Almería 'B' head coach Pablo Nozal, had already warned ahead of the clash with Churriana de la Vega CF that his side faced a difficult challenge against well-organised opponents. Despite sitting in mid-table, the Granada-based side had gone 4 consecutive matches unbeaten, including draws against the 'B' teams of Málaga CF and Granada CF in their previous 2 outings. They extended that run against UD Almería's second team.
Churriana de la Vega CF managed to keep the home side at bay, with UD Almería 'B' unable to find a way through. Having played 2 consecutive matches on the Anexo pitch the Academy Rojiblancos have dropped 4 valuable points, points that would have brought them level with league leaders UD Melilla.
Following Matchday 9 in Group IX of the Tercera RFEF, UD Almería 'B' remain 3rd in the table, 4 points behind leaders UD Melilla and 1 point adrift of second-placed Arenas de Armilla.
Despite several key players being unavailable, the team remain in the promotion play-off places. However, they will need to recharge their batteries ahead of a trip to Motril, followed by a home fixture against UD Melilla anon home turf.
