0-0: Almería Women snatch a point on their outing to Santa Teresa ‘B’ fold
The Rojiblancas are well organised in a match with not many scoring chances
It is true that UD Almería Women could not make it with a victory but the girls earned one point within group IV competing in Primera Nacional. The Rojiblancas shared the spoils (0-0) in a goalless draw on their outing to Santa Teresa ‘B’ team fold. It was a difficult match, in which Almeria displayed organisation and determination with few scoring opportunities though.
Álvaro García Búrdalo's starting line-up was formed by new faces in comparison to the last game against Malaga CF Women ‘B’: Andrea Ríos; Irene, María Flores, Pilar, Flores, Mireya, Anita París, Eva Campoy, Paqui, Nadia and Fátima.
It was a match between two evenly-matched teams during the 90 minutes. Regarding the visitors, Almería Women were well positioned in action and went through spells controlling the game more than their opponents. Needless to say, without finding a way to find someone to play in.
Despite the girls from Almeria did not manage to find the winner in a goalless stalemate, they shared out the points. The point earned does not help them escape the relegation zone, yet the Rojiblancas are level on points with other sides fighting for the permanence before visiting CD Híspalis next weekend.
It is worth highlighting that Almería Women have now played the same number of games as other teams in the third level of league competition for Spanish women's football Primera Nacional after fulfilling the Matchday 5 fixture versus Santa Teresa ‘B’. Bear in mind that it was postponed at the time because of Covid- 19.
