‘We want to be protagonists with the ball and a tough team to beat’; these were statements made by José María Gutiérrez, the UD Almería’s head coach, in the press conference prior to the game that the rojiblancos will play this Sunday (8 p.m.). They will face CF Fuenlabrada, at the Fernando Torres Stadium, corresponding to the 20th matchday of the SmartBank League. This will be the second-to-last match of the first round of the championship. The coach, who was born in Madrid, answered this way when he was asked about his expectations for the coming fixture. Mlg In this sense, the UD Almeria’s coach argued that ‘we really want to keep on winning, consolidate our position at the top of the table and continue our upward trend. Our hope is to be able to win the match'.

In any case, José María Gutiérrez referred to the match as a ‘really tough’ game and appraised the CF Fuenlabrada’s path. In fact, he does not hesitate to point out that ‘they are no longer an eye-opener team. They are meant to be one of the teams leading the pack; they are currently on the 4th position. Thanks to their physical condition and how they play football they will be there until the end of the season’. In this regard, he added that ‘Fuenlabrada are a hard-working team that know how to play the game. They also have a coach who is clear about his players’ potential and gets the most of all of them. When you are dreaming big and working hard, that is reflected in the results. It is an ambitious team and a trainer who is doing very well’.
