‘The fact that the first-team forwards have outstanding qualities greatly enriches the squad’

Rubén Enri appreciates that the club placed trust in him and considers that the Academy footballers will definitely do their bit in the last eleven games

Rubén Enri has been in the limelight in recent weeks. The B team player has just renewed his contract with UD Almería and José María Gutiérrez has called him up to the training subjected to the de-escalation process established by the Government. During this time, he is joining Darwin, Juan Muñoz and Barbero for attacking drills to reach their full potential. This opportunity has led him to show professional pride when he talked to the club's official radio station: ‘the first-team forwards have outstanding qualities, different from mine, and that greatly enriches the squad.’

In this regard, the Catalan centre-forward praised ‘the Darwin Núñez’s speed and spirit’, while speaking highly of Juan Muñoz ‘he is good at receiving the ball and finishing. He also knows how to position himself correctly on the pitch thanks to his good awareness’ and therefore the 22-year-old player pointed out that he hopes to learn from his team-mates to become a pro footballer in the near future. 

The Almería head coach has already mentioned that the youngsters would have opportunity to play minutes in the final stretch of LaLiga SmartBank. Rubén Enri thanked José María Gutiérrez for his kind words. The Barcelona-born forward appears to be fit and ready to get off to a winning start ‘We are all ready to play whenever he needs us. Hopefully this is the case and we can make some appearances.’ With regard to the forthcoming season restart, he commented: ‘It will surely be a hectic League schedule. I think that there will be many substitutions and changes made during the games. I really hope that my B team team-mates and I meet the challenge’, added ‘the number 9’.
