Peybernes bids farewell to UD Almería and Jonathan Silva departs on loan

The Club reaches agreement with both players. The Brazilian returns to his home country to play for Botafogo

The French centre-back Mathieu Peybernes and the Brazilian left-back Jonathan Silva depart UD Almeria after the Club reached an agreement with both players since they will not be part of the team’s plan for the new project.

These players, who were training on the sidelines while the team are involved in their pre-season training camp in Marbella, bid farewell to UD Almeria. While the French player does so after terminating his contract, the Brazilian has been loaned out to his home country's side Botafogo de Futebol e Regatas.

Peybernes arrived in the 2019/20 season under the presidency of Alfonso García and joined CD Lugo on loan, while in the 2020/21 campaign, he started at UD Almería and then moved on loan to Real Zaragoza.

Jonathan Silva, who signed a permanent contract until 2024, also arrived in 2019/20 season under the new Club’s management. The Brazilian was playing with the Rojiblancos that first season, but he was loaned out to UD Las Palmas in the last campaign.

UD Almería wish both players well for the future.
