Iván Balliu back on his feet and named in travelling squad list

The 29-year-old right-back trained well and flies to Tenerife this Friday

UD Almeria right-back Iván Balliu is available for selection again following his full recovery from a muscle injury. The 29-year-old player will be heading to Tenerife along with the UD Almeria travelling squad as it has been confirmed by head coach Rubi at a press conference. On the contrary, Samú Costa will miss out as the 20-year-old Portuguese still has some muscle discomfort.

Iván Balliu sustained a rectus abdominis injury during the match played against Espanyol de Barcelona at the Juegos Mediterráneos; there was no rupture, but he did have discomfort that prevented him from exercising. Balliu has been absent in the last two fixtures of the championship and now he is ready to battle again. In addition, Rubi can also count on Ivanildo and Robertone as both footballers have already served their respective one-game bans.

UD Almería performed a final behind closed doors practice at the Juegos Mediterráneos. This Friday, the players will be getting a charter flight to Tenerife at 9,30 a.m. (CEST). The meeting takes place at 9 p.m. (Spain Time) and will be broadcast live by free-to-air TV channel Gol
