‘If we don't work our socks off, we will pay dearly for it’

Vada, who feels privileged playing for the UD Almeria, warns of the dangers of facing Fuenlabrada

‘If we don't work our socks off, as we did in the last home game, we will pay dearly for it’; These were statements made by Valentín Vada, midfielder of the Almeria group, in his appearance in front of the media to talk about the match that the rojiblancos will play this Sunday in Fuenlabrada, corresponding to the 20th matchday of the SmartBank League.

In this sense, the Argentinian football player stressed that ‘we are going to face a very strong team. Everybody has been taken aback by their performance in the championship. They win many duels, dead-ball restarts ... We have to play Fuenlabrada at their own game from the beginning with determination and humility’.

Valentín Vada said that ‘Other teams wish they were in our nice and well-deserved situation, but we cannot take it easy so we must try everything to keep us on top, which is very important’. The UD Almeria player stressed that ‘we are a team and we are a spectacular group. The coach gives us a lot of confidence and knows how to get the most out of us. Therefore, it does not matter which system is used because attitude is that counts. We all want to control the ball, we all attack and defend. Now we are focusing on an offensive football strategy while sacrificing for more defensive coverage; that's what the coach wants’.

In this regard, Vada added that ‘we are enjoying on the pitch and I feel privileged to be playing for the UD Almeria with our coach and with these teammates. Being on top does not mean having pressure; It's happiness and motivation’.
