Fran Villalba and Ramazani join 23-man Almería squad

Pre-game activation workout on Saturday morning ahead of the evening home match against Fuenlabrada (8:30 p.m. CEST)

Fran Villalba and Ramazani have been named in 23-man Almería squad for the game that the Rojiblancos are playing this Saturday, at 8:30 p.m. Spain Time, against in-form Fuenlabrada at the Juegos Mediterráneos stadium. LaLiga SmartBank matchday 8 will be actually the sixth game of the championship to be played by the Almeria first-team as the first two matchday fixtures were postponed following the side’s participation in the play-offs last season.

Dani Albiar and Olivera will be subbed this time as the Matosinhos-born head coach, Jose Gomes, counts on Villalba and Ramazani, who sat out last Wednesday’s encounter against Cartagena. In addition, Lazo, Appiah, Juan Rodríguez and Jordi Escobar have also been left out of the team roster.

The Rojiblancos squad put in maximum effort during their last training session at the Anexo training pitch although the players will have a pre-game activation workout shortly before noon. Contrary to previous occasions, the team will not get together so that the footballers will go home to have lunch and rest before meeting at 7:00 p.m. at Juegos Mediterraneos.

Head coach José Gomes counts on the following players for next Saturday’s game:

Goalkeepers: Makaridze (1) and Fernando (13).

Defenders: Aitor Buñuel (2), Balliu (20), Peybernes (4), Maras (18), Chumi (21), Jorge Cuenca (24), Alex Centelles (12) and Akieme (15).

Forwards: Juan Villar (7), Umar Sadiq (9) and Pedro Mendes (26).
