Blank Matchweek for Almeria ‘B’ sitting third

The Academy team are not playing this weekend according to the fixture list. They get back into league action welcoming Huétor Vega on 31 October

UD Almería ‘B’ will not be kitted out this weekend according to the Group IX fixture list. There will be a blank Matchweek for every Tercera Division RFEF side following an odd number of teams in the competition and this week is the young Rojiblancos’ turn. After this break, the Almeria Academy products will be competing again at home with Huétor Vega’s visit to the Anexo Juegos Mediterraneos on 31 October (kick-off 12 noon Spain Time).

Óscar Fernández's squad are sitting third in the standings on 14 points at the moment. Only one point separates the youngsters from the first position, which gives the right to automatic promotion to Segunda Division RFEF. It must be taken into account that their direct rivals will have the opportunity to add three points as they are playing their respective league games earlier.

Almeria ‘B’ attended their last training session of the week last Friday and will be off duty until Monday. In addition, this blank Matchweek allows the head coach to recover some troops to face Huétor Vega on Sunday, 31 October. Kevin Bautista now has more time to make progress in his recovery after the scare experienced against Torredonjimeno while Wellington is close to getting back to full fitness. If everything goes well, the entire dressing room will be available for the day in which Almería ‘B’ get back in action.
