Appiah rejoins main squad at training base

The Dutch player is back in training after recovering from Covid-19. This Wednesday, two separate training sessions

After the only day off that the squad had last Tuesday since the pre-season began, training has resumed this Wednesday with a lot of tactical drills in the morning and with another footie practice scheduled for 7pm (Spain Time). Before getting to the training base, the players worked out at the gym doing exercises based on resistance and strength.

Arvin Appiah is back! The Dutch player missed the first week of training after testing positive for Covid-19. Once he has recovered, underwent tests and completed his quarantine period, he has put on his boots again. Appiah trained this Tuesday with the bunch of players who are waiting to know what the  future holds in the next few days and this Wednesday, the right-winger rejoined his main squad team-mates so that from now on, head coach Rubi has one more player to count on. Yanis, who was exercising with the fitness trainer, will return with his team-mates in the afternoon as the French left-winger is not feeling discomfort in his toenail anymore. Maraš was the only absentee for personal reasons.

The first of the two sessions focused on tactics with and without the ball. Rubi and his coaching staff have firmly insisted on tactical concepts and actions that must be perfectly synchronised both when playing offensively and defending.

This Thursday, the practice takes place only in the morning from 9am at the Anexo Juegos Mediterraneos. There will be a double training session on Friday before this weekend’s match action with friendlies against Atlético Pulpileño (Saturday) and Águilas FC (Sunday).
