Another week has gone by

Almería complete the first six days of small-group training. As of Monday, the players will have to get into the habit of getting up early to beat the heat

Almería has now completed a second week of training in hot weather since they returned to action after football shutdown due to the coronavirus outbreak. This was the first week in which the team was divided into groups of ten players according to LaLiga’s protocol towards the resumption of the championship. As of Monday, there will be some changes in the daily schedule so as to beat the heat.

In fact, one of the three groups will exercise at 8 in the morning at the Stadium, while the other two will do so at 9.30 a.m. at the Anexo training ground since this pitch cannot be used earlier because there will be athletes training. Once the facilities are available again, it will be necessary to disinfect and undergo a deep cleanse before the first-team Almeria players take over. There is a double session planned for the three groups on Tuesday and Thursday.

On the whole, this week has been absolutely hectic. Training workload has been gradually increasing and there were three days of two-a-day training when the sun was beating down on the footballers.
