Álvaro García Búrdalo returns to UD Almería Women first team

The until now Almeria Women ‘B’ head coach previously served as the Primera Nacional Rojiblancas’ gaffer over the course of the 2020/21 campaign.

Álvaro García Búrdalo will be the new UD Almería Women first team head coach. The until now Almeria Women ‘B’ coach has already led the Rojiblancas in Primera Nacional over the course of the 2020/21 campaign. Currently, his remarkable achievements saw his side occupy the first position of the Segunda Division Andaluza. For that reason, he will plan and conduct the first training session for the Almeria’s women senior team for this Tuesday evening.

The head coach has wide experience in the Spanish women’s third tier. Not surprisingly, Álvaro was present in a total of 9 official league games last season. In addition, he has a long career after working at the Swimming Club, the UDA Academy, the LaLiga Academy - where he worked as director, coordinator and coach of different U-20 teams in countries such as China and Jordan and at the Club Polideportivo Almeria. Last but not least, he was the regional coach of the Almeria Football Federation.

Álvaro García Búrdalo began the 2021/22 season in the driving seat of Almeria Women ‘B’ clinching 3 victories and 1 draw that fired the Academy Rojiblancas to the top position in the Segunda Division Andaluza league. Now, the head coach takes charge of the first team, who are preparing for Sunday’s outing to Salamanca looking to keep up the good work and results that have allowed them to wrap up three back-to-back wins.

Fitness coach Hugo Castro, goalkeeping coach Papa Masse, physiotherapist Soledad Morales, analyst Juan Francisco Romero and delegate Luis López will continue as UD Almeria Women coaching staff members.
