Almería want to be third time lucky this Friday

After defeats in Bilbao and Ponferrada, the Rojiblancos seek to regain their power in Alcorcón. Carriço will miss out

The UD Almería players continue with their preparation for this Friday's game in Alcorcón, where they seek to regain their power after two consecutive away defeats to SD Amorebieta (Matchday 3) and SD Ponferradina (Matchday 5). The Rojiblancos want to be third time lucky this Friday, although they are acutely aware of the difficulties of the next match, especially after AD Alcorcón achieved their first victory this season in their last game.

UD Almeria resumed training last Tuesday after arriving from León last Monday, trained this Wednesday morning at the Juegos Mediterraneos Stadium, where they will also exercise and practise tactical drills this Thursday during the last training session before getting back on a plane.

Rubi will be able to count on Iván Martos, who has already served a one-game ban, but injured players Juan Villar, Aitor Buñuel and Carriço will miss out against AD Alcorcon, as the head coach has confirmed in the pre-Alcorcon presser before taking on the next rivals at the Santo Domingo Stadium.

Aitor Buñuel is suffering a knee sprained; Juan Villar is still recovering from the pre-season injury and it has been decided not to include Carriço in the next squad list, even though the central defender has some muscular discomfort that is not real pain.
