Almería veteran players resume activity with charity matches

The players thrashed Adra 1-7 in the I Memorial Francisco Linares Román ‘Paco El Fino’

The UD Almería veterans have resumed their activity with friendly and charitable matches. Last Sunday, they participated in the first edition of the Francisco Linares Redondo Memorial, ‘Paco El Fino’, in which they faced the veteran players from Adra in a deeply emotional meeting as the players paid tribute to the beloved Sports massage therapist from Adra city.

The Rojiblancos thrashed the Adra veterans 1-7 in a match played at the Miramar Stadium, where Paco El Fino’s family was very well supported by both teams and the fans who gathered. UD Almería gave the families a commemorative plaque and a t-shirt.

UD Almeria veteran players Jesús Gualda, Alvaro, Pedro García, Guille, Nico, Juan Carlos Portillo, José Callejón, Muley, Luisma, Moy and Abtibui Flores started and then subs Emilio, Añoño, Isma Callejón, Daniel Gazzaniga, David Picha, Juan Martos, Chema and Jorge Peregrina entered the pitch.

The 7 goals were scored by UD Almeria veteran players Salva (2), David Picha (2), José Callejón, Jorge Peregrina and Guille.
