Almería focus on Sabadell set on moving forward ‘game by game’

The Rojiblancos prepare the first of the three league and cup tie fixtures over just six days

Almería are now fully focused on their preparation for the Sunday’s home match with kick-off time set for 2:00 p.m. (Spain Time). CE Sabadell FC will be visiting the Juegos Mediterraneos Stadium on Matchday 22. It will be the first reverse game to get the second half of the second-tier championship started.

Although the Rojiblancos have three games ahead of them in just six days and will be competing in the LaLiga and Copa del Rey within the same week. The players are going to put into action the idea of going ‘game by game’ and not looking beyond the most imminent fixture. Furthermore, Sabadell are going to be really tough competitors since they are fighting for permanence in the league. The Catalans have escaped the drop zone and have managed to get into a 5-game unbeaten run with one victory and four draws. It should also be taken into account that the next adversaries have bagged more points as visitors than at home with three wins and two draws away.

The first-team Almeria squad are trying to keep away from being in the state of euphoria after top-flight Alaves were thrashed 5-0 by Jose Gomes’ men in the Spanish Cup third-round. Now it is time to work their fingers to the bone so as to face the next league encounter and get another big ‘W’. Akieme will fulfill his one-game ban this time around since he could not do it against Leganés when the meeting was suspended following the snowstorm, while Ramazani, Olivera and Jordi Escobar have exercised on the sidelines because they are feeling different muscular discomforts.
