Academy talent Gabri to continue well-trodden path in UD Almería

Gabriel Martínez Gauna, one of the talents within UD Almería Academy will continue his well-trodden path with the Rojiblancos. The attacker, who was Andalusia's top scorer last campaign in the Liga Nacional competition after scoring 22 goals, signs a three-season contract with the Club and will play next season for Almeria U19s ‘A’ competing in Division de Honor.
The footballer of Argentinian descent was born in Torrevieja in 2004 and joined UD Almeria U19s ‘B’ from Real Murcia in the 2020/21 season. The forward did not go unnoticed in the Andalusian group, since he became a benchmark in this football league level following his great performances.
Gabri is a No. '9' who has an eye for goal and stands out for being a great striker, as well as having ball control and good dribbling moves to face the opponents’ goal. As a result, UD Almería consider him as a budding player who should remain at the Club.
In this way, one of the talents of the UD Almeria Academy, who is in his second year playing for U19s, will continue his promising footballing career wearing the red and white shirt after signing for the next three campaigns. In the 2021/22 season, he will be part of the UD Almeria U19s ‘A’ squad, who will compete again in the the highest category of U19 football in Spain, Division de Honor.
